UFO sightings going mainstream, while WikiLeaks safeguards UFO files
UFO sightings going mainstream, while WikiLeaks safeguards UFO files
Submitted by Dave Masko on 2011-01-20
SEASIDE, Ore. – Members of the Oregon “watchers” UFO group meeting here at this resort town report news that indicates how a special “encrypted insurance file,” set-up by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, that will keep much anticipated UFO files safe in case Assange and others are “taken out;” meanwhile, the National UFO Reporting Center has just reached a milestone of 30,000 UFO sighting reports over the past 15 years.
“It’s like we finally hit mainstream America with WikiLeaks revealing what we all knew was out there, and National hitting 30,000 confirmed UFO cases. It’s going to be a banner year for all of us who believe,” says Greg Hainsworth of nearby Salem who heads a “watcher task force” that investigates local Oregon coast UFO sightings.“What people forget it’s not a choice to believe. For UFO watchers every day becomes Sunday,” adds Hainsworth of his group’s focus and reason for having meetings.
For example, he explains is "what you have here with the watchers is a group of about 40 folks who study UFOs. It's not a hobby, but a passion."
The regular meetings at Seaside and other locations up and down the Oregon coast is yet one example of one group that mirrors thousands of other like groups worldwide, he adds.
Former nuke missile site now a major UFO center
Also, there’s more good news for local UFO watchers, according to Hainsworth grew-up in the Seattle area where the famed National UFO Reporting Center was based for the past 32 years.
“What’s really cool is they moved the National UFO Reporting Center to a decommissioned Air Force ISNM missile site out in an undisclosed location in eastern Washington. For right now, I’m thinking they don’t want locals bugging them,” added Hainsworth who’s a retired bus driver with four sons and 11 grandkids.
“There was a time when they thought the old man was nuts because of my status with the watchers and other UFO groups,” he adds. “Now, it’s mainstream and it feels good to know WikiLeaks is protecting those secret files, and we now have probably the best location for the national center right here in the Pacific Northwest.”
Moreover, the National UFO Reporting Center seems to be as busy as ever these days.
For instance, the center recently posted “528 new” UFO sighting reports from everyday citizens.
WikiLeaks to protect secret UFO files
At the same time, the coastal “watchers” have shared the good news about the new WikiLeaks security plan to help protect secret UFO files that Assange revealed last month.
The plan to protect the secret UFO files is tied to a WikiLeaks file named insurance.aes256.
Watchers say it’s a massive gigabyte and encrypted system with a 256-digit key.
Moreover, there’s recent news from British media sources that are in touch with Assange who still remains in hiding due to numerous legal issues.
One British newspaper said the secret UFO files held by WilkiLeaks “will never see the light of day,” due to security concerns addressed by the United Nations.
The Guardian and other London based newspapers have also reported new WikiLeaks servers being set-up in England and France to make sure, as Assange has noted, “to have a back-up if WikiLeaks gets taken down.”
At the same time, the National UFO Reporting Center presses on with plenty of real-world sighting inputs from just about everyone in society.
Watchers report that even priests and nuns, and mayors and other cops, and grandfathers and boy scouts, are all on the center’s list of those who’ve reported UFO sightings during the past year. “If that doesn’t sound like going mainstream, than we don’t know what does,” quipped the watchers while enjoying some rest while “watching” along the Oregon coast at Seaside.

Wikileaks cable about UFOs revealed?
Wikileaks cable about UFOs revealed?
January 25, 2011The biggest news from Wikileaks today isn't that the US embassy in Jakarta requested $100,000 to get a million people to "like" them on Facebook. Apparently, the UFO cable has been leaked.
UFO news site All News Web claims to have received a leak from Wikileaks about that UFO-related cable Julian Assange mentioned several weeks ago. Here's the scoop.
A source from within the inner circle of the Wikileaks team has confidentially leaked to All News Web the content of a State Dept cable, concerning UFO affairs, that Wikileaks has declined to upload onto their website.I'm inclined to believe that this leak could be real, if only because it's so ambiguous. Are embassy staff told not to discuss UFOs because the DOD isn't interested in them, and doesn't want people thinking they're using resources for UFO hunting? Or is the DOD asking embassy staff to cover up an ultra-classified project that they've improbably shared with diplomats in Kiev?
The cable states: "It is critical all embassy staff understand that they are not to discuss under any circumstance concerns DOD has with UFOs entering orbit, once again the seriousness of this matter cannot be overstated"
The cable was sent on 9 November, 2005 by the State Dept to a diplomat connected to the US embassy in Kiev, Ukraine. As it implies, the State Dept was concerned with diplomats with loose tongues chatting about UFOs at cocktail parties and conceding that the US does allocate resources to the matter.
UPDATE: Many are calling this a hoax, which seems reasonable. But there has been no official word from Wikileaks on the matter yet.

In online chat, Assange says no one has been harmed by document releases
updated 12/3/2010 8:05:09 PM ET
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange held an online question-and-answer session Friday with the Guardian newspaper's readers LONDON — WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said on Friday that there were some references to UFOs in "yet-to-be-published" confidential files obtained from the U.S. government. In an online chat hosted by the U.K.'s Guardian newspaper, he also said that no one has been harmed by his organization's release of troves of secret documents. "WikiLeaks has a four-year publishing history. During that time there has been no credible allegation, even by organizations like the Pentagon, that even a single person has come to harm as a result of our activities," Assange said in response to a reader's question. "This is despite much-attempted manipulation and spin trying to lead people to a counter-factual conclusion. We do not expect any change in this regard." Assange said he and colleagues were aware of death threats following the publication of diplomatic cables on their website. "The threats against our lives are a matter of public record, however, we are taking the appropriate precautions to the degree that we are able when dealing with a superpower," Assange was quoted as saying. Answering questions online, Assange also said that anyone making threats against his life should be charged with incitement to murder. Asked if he has ever been forwarded documents dealing with UFOs or extraterrestrials, Assange responded, "Many weirdos e-mail us about UFOs or how they discovered that they were the anti-Christ whilst talking with their ex-wife at a garden party over a pot plant. However, as yet they have not satisfied two of our publishing rules: 1) that the documents not be self-authored; 2) that they be original. "However, it is worth noting that in yet-to-be-published parts of the Cablegate archive, there are indeed references to UFOs." Britain's Guardian is one of a number of newspapers around the world with early access to diplomatic cables seen by WikiLeaks. The whereabouts of Assange, a 39-year-old Australian, are unknown, but some reports have said he is believed to be in southern England. Swedish authorities said on Friday that information missing from a European arrest warrant they had issued against Assange for alleged sex crimes had been handed to British authorities. "We sent it. They asked for complementary information and now they have it," Swedish Prosecution Authority spokeswoman Karin Rosander said. Bjorn Hurtig, Assange's attorney in Sweden, told Dutch TV that the WikiliLeaks founder would fight extradition if arrested. Hurtig repeated Assange's denials of a sexual crime in Sweden and said any evidence against him was "very very weak." "One woman says it's rape another woman says its a sexual offense," Hurtig said. "I will not say if he says he has had sex with them. I will tell you he denies rape he denies sexual offenses he denies having committed any sort of crime against these women or against any other person." Crippling Web traffic In his reponses on the Guardian's online question-and-answer session, Assange described Pfc. Bradley Manning, who was detained in connection with the leaked documents, as an "unparalleled hero" — if it was he who leaked the cables to WikiLeaks, he said. The Q&A session with was crippled at first by heavy traffic but it was not immediately clear if The Guardian newspaper website was under a denial of service attack. The Guardian said on one of its Twitter feeds that readers should be patient because the website is under heavy visitor loads. Assange has not made a public appearance in nearly a month, although he has spoken to journalists over the Internet. Swedish authorities have issued a Europe-wide warrant for his arrest, while WikiLeaks has been forced to switch to a Swiss domain name after its American domain name provider withdrew service. Its sites have also been hit by denial of service attacks. 'History will win' "The Cable Gate archive has been spread, along with significant material from the US and other countries to over 100,000 people in encrypted form. If something happens to us, the key parts will be released automatically," Assange wrote in response to a question about the way material is distributed. "Further, the Cable Gate archives is in the hands of multiple news organizations. History will win. The world will be elevated to a better place. Will we survive? That depends on you." Assange also addressed the attention he has been getting while the rest of his organization has remained largely anonymous. "In the end, someone must be responsible to the public and only a leadership that is willing to be publicly courageous can genuinely suggest that sources take risks for the greater good," he said. "In that process, I have become the lightning rod. I get undue attacks on every aspect of my life, but then I also get undue credit as some kind of balancing force." Want more information on Aliens?
